What does it take to run a business? Who have to keep track of your money. This involves a lot of  math. Having to calculate what you sold and what you spent on the products you are selling it's as difficult as I thought. I tend to freak out when things involve math and instantly think it's going to be hard. It's going to be stressful trying to keep my fixed cost on track because  if I don't have enough sales to cover it I will lose money and I don't want to do that.
For the EE I'm glad we don't have to worry about anything but paying back the teacher her $30.i wish we would have sold more packages so that we'd have more money let over for ourselves, that's the selfish part of me.
Today is the last day of class and we get to deliver our care packages. We able to sell 14 packages and I recall think the customers liked them. We got different stuffed animals, candy hearts, a fake flower and then a blank card to go with so that they can write their own message to their loved ones. We decided to deliver the package ourselves so that no one would have to leave their offices, they liked that. :-) We met in the class room to put the packages together and once again Patricia does nothing. I asked her if she wanted to help make bows and she said no, so then I told her that she had to do something to help ( in the nicest way possible) and she still said no. I don't know how she expect to make it as a entrepreneur or to even survive if she thinks that everything is going to be handed to her. But that is not my problem, I am just proud of myself for not freaking out like I wanted to.

After talking about how partnerships can be a bad thing when it comes to owning a business I don't think I want to have a partner. I would definitely want some help with my business but I would want to run it by myself. I would not want to deal with my partner stealing money from the company or not helping me take care of it. Some examples of an advantage of running a business alone are, I won't have to argue about what needs to be changed or not. Can make all the decisions myself and that will go much quicker. A huge plus of owning a business alone would be that I would get all of the profits from the business. It would definitely take longer to get the business together and I would have to work longer hours but i would deal with it as longs I know that I don't have to worry about what my partner is doing.

Speaking of partners not doing what their suppose to do. In my entrepreneurial experience group we have one member, Patricia, who not done anything but make the poster. When we talk in class about what we want to do and what we want our name to be she just sits there and plays on her phone. It so frustrating when people don't take pRt in helping when it comes to group projects.

We had a guest speaker come into our class and talk to us about his life as an entrepreneur. He made being a entrepreneur seem like it can be a fun experience and not so stressful all the time. One of the things I liked most that our guest speaker mentioned was how many people he works with that help with his business ideas. When other people talk about entrepreneurship they don't always mention all of the help that they have received and in the beginning I felt that I would have to run a business with little or no help at all. I would definitely need to help with the accounting part. And it would be nice to receive some ideas for my business and here about other peoples experience when their own business. One of the most difficult things for me at this point will be trying to come up with ways to make my performing arts studio different form all the others, and there are a lot.

For my entrepreneurial experience I am thankful to have others in my group that are open to new ideas and a are easy to work with. They are creative and hard working girls and it's easy working with because we all have had pretty much that same ideas for our package.

The business plan

The business plan is the most important part when it comes to being an entrepreneur. You really won't accomplish anything without one. When you are trying to sell your product and need a loan for your business you want to have a business plan made out for the bankers to go over. The business plan describes everything about your business and it makes thing a whole lot easier for you when it comes to asking for loans or favors or help for your business from others. Your business plan gives them a view of your business which is better than listening to you talk about it, this way they wont miss anything and can find mistakes, if any, for you to fix. When it comes to owning a small business it can be difficult because you really have to look at what other business that are similar to your are doing.
When we were looking at our business ideas on the internet I didn't realize just how many performing arts studios there were. It's going to be very difficult to stand and I will definitely have to get creative.

For my entrepreneurial experience I guess our business plan would be that we want to provide a new creative way for people to show there loved ones that they care. Our package is affordable and is for everyone no matter age or sex. We thought it would be cool to have songs to sing to the customers in French, Spanish and English. So far we haven't gotten our package together. Jenni, Erika and I went to some dollars stores to try and find some things that would fit what we're looking to go in our  package. There are so many things to choose from.

Entrepreneurship

Its the first day of class and as usual I am freaking out. I don't know what to expect or who going to be in my class, I feel like I am in high all over again. I have never taken a business class before and I don't really know anything about business. I find a friend and immediately sit next to her looking around at the familiar faces of the other students in my grade level. Class starts and the first I actually hear and take in from the teacher is that it is okay if you haven't taken a business class before, this book was intended for students like you. I take a breathe and relax as my teacher begins to go over the syllabus. we start talking about being a entrepreneur and the benefits of it as well as the losses. As we discuss these things I start to think about myself and if I would be able to handle being a business owner. Do I have the strength and skills for it, will I be good at it. Would my dancing inspire people to want to learn to dance? So many question went through my head and I begin to stress myself out, which I am very good at.
We then started watching a entrepreneur show called "shark tank". I really liked the show, I didn't understand a couple of the things they discussed, mostly the things when it came to numbers. But other than that I liked it a lot. The main thing that I gained from the show was that it doesn't matter how well your product is, if your numbers and sell prices aren't good you wont make a good business. Being a business owner is a very difficult thing to do and it is definitely something you have to love and want to do whole heartedly because it is going to be very challenging and you will fail at some point and you will have people telling you that you wont succeed but I guess that comes with anything. I did agree with the teacher when she mentioned that someone's business becomes their baby, I have always known that. Its something you created and watched grow, how could it not become a child to someone?
For my entrepreneurial experience we decided to be the singing sweethearts. We will have a little package with a stuffed animal, card, candy, and a flower. We thought it would be nice to have the price be cheaper for students and a little more expensive for adults. So for the students it would be $3 and then $5 for adults. Now we just have to figure out the songs to sing to them and when we can practice so that we sound good.
